I’m looking for some opinions of guys that have looked thru multiple sets of high end range finding bino’s. I currently run a set on Maven B.2 11x45s. That glass on them is very good, but they’re mighty chonky (33 oz.). I bow hunt big game (whitetail and elk) and do a lot of coyote hunting. I’d like to run a set of range finding bino’s more to get rid of my bino/rf harness than anything.
Swaro’s, Leica, Zeiss, Vortex, Sig. Who has the best glass in this style of bino’s?

What size, weight, and exit pupil requirement... do you want the smallest 10x40 or an 8x32? etc

Ideally I’d like to be sub 35oz (sub 30 is ideal), relatively compact and have good low light performance. 10x40’s would be perfect. I do realize there’s going to have to be some give and take. Glass clarity and weight are my two biggest concerns.

Swarovski will be hard to beat glass wise. But i dont overly love their ballistics app. I dont have much time with it yet though to be fair.

Their Tracking assistant is actually bad ass and has helped me find a few coyotes in taller grass. That i probably wouldn't have found. Will be a nice feature out west as well!!

I like my Sig 6k 10x32. They're compact, have auto brightness adjustment, and the ballistic solver and app are well thought out. Optical quality might not be as good as higher end glass but they're quite serviceable.

I purchased my Swarovski rf binos new and sold at a steep decent discount due to the crappy app. Ironic as I sold my Leica’s before those as that app was arguably worse. The swaro app requires you map the profile to one of their scopes and only allows 3 profiles total in the bino and app combined. The Leicas I had required access to their website to change info which is a bit tough in the field. Neither Leica or Swarovski cared about the non hunting consumer but stateside tech support was always empathetic. Been using my backup Vortex while waiting on my Vectronix.
