Rifle Scopes Ranging with Leupold Mk4 6.5-20

I have a 6.5-20 I just put on a rifle, but I'm not sure what power is appropriate for ranging with the mil reticle and Leupold is closed for the day. Any help is appreciated.

I believe it will be accurate at 20X, but to verify, draw a vertical line on cardboard and make marks at 3.6" intervals. Set your board at 100 yards. The marks should line up with your dots at the correct power (no matter what Leupold or the instructions say). If it doesn't land right on a power marking, take a silver sharpie and make a mark so you can get it exactly lined up next time.
