I am finally getting all of my reloading stuff bought back so I can load again. I will be loading for a SAC 308. And very rarely any other caliber. I want to know why I should not get a rcbs die vs some of the others??? is it worth it for me to spend 2x the money on some of the others

Re: rcbs die?

I buy Redding for the most part. I'm sure there are some custom manufacturers that may be better quality, but I find the Redding a big step up from RCBS.

I used to (>20 years ago) by RCBS only. Then I noticed a step change in their quality. Things like the sloppier threads, alignment issues, etc.

Re: rcbs die?

yes redding dies will work in your rcbs press, almost all dies have the same thread pitch. Its only the larger 50 cal type dies that have different thread pitchs, and require certain presses

if you want small groups ,then buy redding/forster dies.

if you dont care about group size , then buy lee.

there is no reason to buy rcbs. Its more expensive then lee and less accurate then redding.
