Does anyone know if there is another company who makes a upper reciever with the side charging handle. that is of good quality and will fit a DPMS LR308

Yes and no.
There are other side charge 308's such as Fulton Armory...but the charging handle is reciprocating unlike the REPR which locks forward and only moves when you pull it back. Also the other side charge handles or bolt knobs are on the right not the left.

JP makes the LRP-07. It is great quality and I believe it would fit on a DPMS lower. Unfortunately, I don't think you can get an upper only from them.

Check out Kaiser Defense. They have a really cool charging handle system that is on/in the forearm. Non-reciprocating as well.

The problem is anytime you get into the side charging you really start getting into some money. LAR started making side chargers as well.
That KR7 gets pricey when you get the REACH system on it.

When you push the non-recip charging handle it is like a forward assist. Never had to use this feature, btw. Did I answer your question? JPG
