I’m currently using a Pig 0311g tripod with a pig saddle clamp on top. I’m looking to move over to a ball head or leveling base that is arca/rrs dovetail equipped. Tripod will be used to support rifles and optics. My shopping around has led me to considering the Desmond DLOW-55. Is there anything else I should be considering in this price bracket?
Yes I know, buy once cry once. This set up will hold me over while I save up for the Vector tripod or RRS, then it will be used for the spotters.
