Redding FL Die

I have only been reloading for a couple of months and just purchased my first Redding FL Die, the problem is that it came with no set up instructions. Also I read that I should remove the expander ball as to not mess with the neck on previously fired brass but the die doesnt seem to have a "ball". Can some one point me in the direction for die set ups and info on the ball?

You should have some reloading manual's, and at the beginning of the book, read the info on sizing cases. The FL dies should come already set up with the expanding ball already on the decapping stem. I recommend using the expander ball on normal loads.

The die does not have an expander "ball", just an expander that basically the holder for the decapping pin. That assembly is generally referred to as the "expander ball", but it isn't spherical unless you upgrade to carbide.
