I am new to reloading, well its been about 20+ years, and after reading and reading post after post here on the Hide I am back at it. I searched and found that 335 seems to be about the standard for new Lapua brass, just wanted to be sure, if I need 336 as well I might as well order it at the same time. I have 333 and 334 already, seems that I will probably need to get a 332 because by reading previous posts, it seems to be used by many here. I used 333 on some Federal brass that I had, loaded them up with Sierra 168, MK's, Fed210 primers with 42.1 grains of RE15 and was quite happy with my first results.

.336 is pretty widely used, this being said, I have the .332, .333, .334, .335, .336, .338, .339 and .340 bushings, so my bases are covered.

I also use their carbide expander ball for range brass that has dinged mouths.

.340/.339 for stepping down with a factory throat, .336, .335 and .332 (some Winchester) should do you fine.

Thanks, I was thinking about getting their carbide expander ball but in a size smaller say 270 to push out the dings on the range brass, then let the neck bushing do its work.

I'll suggest that you use the 0.334" bushing that you already have in conjunction with the expander. It will over-size the brass a little, and the expander will push out the dings to the desired dimension. You'll end up with the thickness imperfections transferred to the exterior of the neck. A carbide expander for 308 may work a little better since the carbide version floats. Try what you have first. The 270 expander probably won't do what you need.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I was just going to get the 270 expander to push out the dinged cases and nothing more. I will porbably get 335 and 336 and spend some money on a ball micrometer to measure case neck thickness as I reload more and more.

Just get the .308 (.307") ball, it's meant for the .30 cal cases. The carbide is nice as it needs no lubing for the inside of the necks. It works like any other .30 cal expander ball and it does float a bit.
