I’m honestly excited to join this community and freely share long range shooting knowledge without hunting it down by way of anecdote. I started shooting on my own time for the first time in nearly a decade last month, with new blasters and glass arriving next week, so it seemed like the right time to join the forum.
In 2013 I connected my best shot with a coyote at 1053 meters and then disappeared into a black hole of work for the last eight years.
Spearfishing renewed my interest in hunting, but this time for meat. I’ve always gotten fulfillment from great shots on tasty animals so coming here seemed like the natural place to go to absorb some knowledge.
Lurking on these forums was an amazing supplement to building my knowledge of how the long range shooting game has evolved on the private side in the past eight years, and reading member posts from Snipershide (especially Ilya’s) helped me hunt down my ideal glass. So, I honestly can’t thank everybody here enough for being such an outstanding base of knowledge and that I don’t have to sort through ARFCOM style mall ninja and couch commando posts to find it. This is an awesome community, aloha
