Reloader 16, 6.5cm

Got some reloader 16 to burn up and wanted to test it in my tikka 6.5 creed with a 142 ABLR. Not much data out there on this combo so does anyone have some data they would share for expectations? Alliant shows ~43-43.6gr as max with 140 class bullets and Hornady brass but Lapua brass usually yields less case capacity.
My componets will consist of Lapua brass and cci 200.

In my last 6.5 barrel that I used rl16 in with lapua brass 42gr was super heavy bolt lift. 39 was more of the happy spot.

Start low and work up.

so i made the switch from h4350 to reloder 16 and am happy with everything so far, great sd great groups good velocity, but i have heard some negative effects from rl 16 on throat wear and barrel life, is this true? thanks

current load with lapua brass, cci450, 140 hybrid, is 40.4gr of RL16. runs 2760 with a 26in hawk hill barrel 7.7 tw.

I'm using Lapua brass, CCI 450, 140 Hybrid and 41.4 grains of RL16. This has been a fantastic load for my 6.5 CM for a little over 2,000 rounds. Velocity is 2850.

I always start at 39gr H4350/rl16 with any creed, 22, 6, 25 and 6.5 with heavier for cal bullet weight.

Tested some RL 16 with 135 A tips on Thursday in PA.
44.0 gr seated 2.880 = .057 jump in my barrel. 24” Rock Creek 8T

Shot that load again today in MD to confirm. It was about 10 degrees cooler & I loaded 44.2 @ same jump 2.880
I’m going with this load for the Major land match. Swapped mounts and re-zeroed today. Now have 25 mils on the dial, almost enough.

Always been similar to H4350 for 140 and 147 ELD's for me, except that RL16 is 20-30fps faster. Current load is 41.3 RL16, 140 ELD, 2830 fps.
