Range Report Reloader 16

It seems bulkier, you'll use a little bit less weight wise vs h4350.

i haven't shot enough of it yet to say much, only 100 rounds.

I'm at 41.2 pushing a 123SMK in prime 260 brass at 2850 or so. My barrel seems a little slow. SD and ES numbers weren't as good but I have a feeling that is a brass issue.

I use RL16 exclusively in my 6.5 Creedmoor. I did a little write-up on it when we were back at Scout and posted it in another 6.5 Creedmoor forum, so I'll see if I can find it and add a link. I found it was a grain for grain swap for my loads. RL16 did give me a slight bump in velocities and offers equal temp stability. I've stocked up on RL16 and I doubt I'll go back to H4350.

My match load is 41.2 grains of RL16 with a Nosler 140 RDF jumping 0.030". MV is 2822 with excellent SD and ES numbers. Using a Hornady 140 BTHP or Barnes 140 Match Burner, I use 42.0 grains. MV for the BTHP is very similar to the RDF. The Barnes clocks in a few FPS faster, like 2830-something if I remember correctly.

Here's the write up I did on Scout: http://www.scout.com/military/sniper...ad-development

Hmmm... for some reason, it shows I edited my post, but what I added isn't showing up, so here's what I wrote:

I've been using it in my 6.5 Creedmoor with the 142 SMKs. Spectacular results and Sierra has published a max load of 43.5 which getting me 2900 out of a 26 inch barrel with SD's of 4. So, yeah, I'm happy.
