Reloading Data/Equipment for .375 CheyTac

Gentlemen,

I’m about 98% set to buy a Cadex CDX-40 SHADOW in .375 CheyTac. Only thing holding me back is reloading the cartridge. I already reload 9 calibers, so the aspect of reloading is not what I am after, it’s the components for the .375 cartridge.

Barrel will be either 29” or 32” Bartlein Barrel, but the more I think about it probably 32”; and have a 1:10 5R groove. Research has lead me to use ~133gr Retumbo powder, in Peterson brass, under 377gr Cutting Edge copper solids. Any info on this or other loads is more than welcome.

I am mainly looking for the dies, resizing and seating. Recommendations on who makes them and where I can find them would be greatly appreciated.

CH4D would be a good starting place. I have seen some nice dies by Dave Viers but the two gentlemen of my acquaintance who have bought his have endured more delay and drama than a man needs in his life.

Well , I just picked up a dt 375ct barrel bolt brass ect but saving for a hti chassis. I’m going to start with smk350 .015 off the lands 131gr retumbo 215m primer and I have Jamison brass. Gonna watch this thread . Hk45 what press are you going to use for that cartridge.

I hope I did my due diligence with reading reloading manuals up and down, researching components right and left, both here in the forum and in FB groups... Based on all that I came up with the following list of equipment to start reloading 6.5 creedmoor and 375 Cheytac.

Some background info: I am not planning on reloading in bulk. With that in mind I went with the Sinclair trimmer instead of the Giraud for example.

Thanks, will do! Is there an easy way to say what common mistakes are? I am completely green with regards to reloading. I did the reading, have no issues comprehending it so far I believe - mechanical engineering background helps a bit but maybe there is something i can avoid?

There is just so much that can go wrong. Stuck cases, too much or too little shoulder bump, reading pressure signs accurately/correctly, too much sizing lube, not enough, overannealing, novice powder charging mistakes, scale drift, pulling bullets, finding seating depth. Making a giant batch of reloads that you have to go back and pull because they won't chamber, or are hot in hot weather from temp sensitivity, or you misgauged how hot they are and don't want to shoot them and blow the pockets, wrong primer, etc etc etc

How did you 375Cheytac with 1 n 7twist turn out? Curious as I just bought one from a gentleman that became ill.It has had one round fired by the Gunsmith. Its a Stiller Action ,K & PBarrel..1in 7 Twist on a Mcrees Precision Chassis
