What’s everyone doing for a reloading room? Currently limited on space but would like to see some other setups and ways people have saved space. I’ll be reloading for my 300WM and most likely a few other rifle and pistol cartridges.

have fun
Thanks I tried searching but didn’t come up with much at all.

These were posted on the motivational pic threads while back. I cannot remember who posted them, but it’s definitely motivational to my reloading room!

I started with a smaller room... basically 10’x12’ but has a closet in the corner. So my usable space was 9.5’x10.

I did an L-shape bench... metal framing with wood top covered in a heavy fabric so I could lay guns and scopes on it and not worry about scratching stuff. Went with adjustable shelves underneath and a rolling cabinet for cleaning, tumbling, tools, equipment, spare parts, etc... rolling cabinet is awesome. Made a die holder for most used dies on the wall, cork back to stick notes, and a metal strip to us magnets on to hold odds and ends. Did a quick release bracket on the Dillion and would do the same on my other press next round, not sure why I didn’t do it from day one. Closet I did a corner shelf unit hoping to use some of that space closer to the floor, glad I did it
Version 2.0 will be similar, honestly, probably won’t be much bigger. I do have some new ideas on storage and a little more versatility....but all and all... it has treated me well and have not yearned for a larger space.

Hope this helps!

I have moved 12 times in the past 12 years and a press stand has allowed me to stay in business as a reloaded. I use one of these press stands from Brownells with my single stage press. I have used it for about 15 years (10,000-20,000 rds loaded) now. No problems with it and it allows me to mount it ANYWHERE. On my kitchen table, on a dining room chair or stool, on the porch railing, hotel room night stand. You name it and I have had to do it.

The floor folds up. The locked door keeps the floor in place. It’s really just there to keep the grandkids out of it and keep the floor from falling out. They’re both still young. I may have to change it as time progresses.

closet reloading, I never thought of that. It is awesome! I have little kids and that would be perfect.

I did a closet reloading setup as well. Takes up no room in the house, and i put in a fold out tile floor to help with powder incidents. It’s a over the counter too from Home Depot, mounted on 2x6’s lagonto the house studs. In practical terms; zero flex.

Edited for my poor typing skills.
Your post in that thread is honestly my favorite. You have one hell of a setup.

That’s my reloading room!

The “building perfect reloading room” thread was how that room came into being. I started in a barn attic and built every stick of it myself.

There is a ton in that thread if the photos have not all expired.

Cheers, Sirhr

PS. The 1919 now belongs to Buffalowinter and it’s on the jeep he built to carry it... his build thread in Vintage section.

This was my setup in my condo. It was very cramped but I made it work. If I did it all over I would do a quick mount from inline fabrication so I could change presses and have more space when loading

I then stretched out a bit in our new house

Starting over from scratch, sams club bench was under $200. Still waiting on a powder dispenser and some other odds and ends to ship. I want to add some shelves to the rear of the bench to store dies and components, open to suggestions on that.

Moved last fall. Took the upper level that was all one big room and made half of it a reloading room.

I don’t have an current pictures, but when we moved in we ended up building my room, it’s roughly 10x12. I built two benches, one L shaped, the other just a small basic bench.

I built cabinets for above the bench and put shelving on both sides (right side not pictured).
I mounted all my presses to inline fabrication mounts and have a station on the long side of the L and short side of the L, as well as one on my small bench. I almost always keep my 550 SP on the long side, and then my single stage or depriming press on the short side.
To the right of the L is my safe (out of view).
I mounted an inline plate holder up high above my small bench to keep my presses out of the way when not in use.

it’s not a ton of room, but it’s all I have at the moment.
