I know that the reloading supplies are thin all over, but I am in the Dallas area for work the next couple of days and have some free time. I am just wondering if anyone that lives around here can tell me some of the best places to kill some time and maybe run into some supplies or a decent gun selection to look at.

    Thanks,

    Frank

Ray's Sporting Goods and Hardware, it's West of Downtown, can't remember the street/exit, should be able to Google or Mapquest it. Pricey on primers a few weeks ago when I stopped in as in $45/K and pistol only. Ok prices on powder and had some decent selection on powders. Good selection of firearms. Good selection of ammo - some pricey some ok.

If you want to drive out further, you could go to Cabela's in Ft. Worth. Power selection has been thin everytime I'm down there. Ammo selection was huge, but for the current prices I can see why. For reloading, bullet and brass selection was pretty good. Had quite a few used rifles but in good looking condition in the rack area, a few POF gas guns if you feel like dropping premium $$ on a gas gun.

Note: Ray's isn't in the best looking part O' town. I'd go over there during daylight only, or bring lot's of your own ammo and a few weapons of your own. LOL

Doc's Gun Shop in Carrolton has a ok selection of powder and bullets.

Gunmasters in Plano also has a OK selection, larger store, kind high prices.

Bass Pro shop has some stuff, but have not been there in a while.

Thanks guys. I am going to try and hit some of these before I leave. If not, Im sure that I will check them out on my next trip over here. I really like looking around in good gun/reloading shops when I am traveling for work and have some spare time. I found a cool little store in Gainesville a couple of trips ago. They had a pretty good price on LR308 mags, and I bought a couple.
