Gunsmithing Rem 700 bolt stop

Has anyone installed a side mounted bolt stop in a 700 sa? If so, where can I find an aftermarket stop?

I think Shawn Carlock at Defensive Edge sells them.

Sinclair International stocks them, although they may not be what you're looking for.

Cinch, I looked up Defensive Edge and that's what I'm looking for.

nicholst55, I saw the Sinclair model but wanted something more low profile like whats on a Surgeon or something.

Dave Kiff at Pacific tool makes them for most of the custom action makers. I think they are like $15 bucks

If you do it yourself, the defensive edge one is nice and comes with clear instructions, I just did this to mine...

Is the defensive edge bolt stop above the stock line, or do you have to inlet the stock for it?

Mine was done by Gretan Rifles and is above the stock line by several mm..

I had to lightly notch my Manners stock to clear, YMMV
