I'm looking for a new stock to put on my Rem 700 SPS Varmint, I've heard good things about bell and carlson, and they look good and the bedding block system appears to be very good. I'm not looking to spend a fortune or build the worlds best rifle, any input would be appreciated.

They are decent for the money. As other have said many times, not McMillan or Manners quality, but nowhere near the price.

Yes the B&C stocks are very good. I just pickup a Rem SPS vermint 243 and plan on getting one of the M40 stocks as well. I also have a B&C on a stevens 200 build. I will get my M40 stock form shooters discount.

Are you wanting a lighter weight stock to pack in or are you setting up out of your truck bed and want to swing a 14lb rifle?
