I have an older Remington 700 LTR (w/ original BDL bottom metal). Is this receiver a drop-in for something like a KRG Bravo so that I can use AICS magazines without any milling on the receiver?

Having both options in front of you, the Bravo is the better one IMO. Not a huge cost difference between Smith costs and DBM either.
