Here in NZ gear is expensive and that's if you can get it. Imported product from the US is subject to all sorts of tax and paperwork. The dream of building a PRS style match rifle with top components is a bit of a pipe dream. I am looking to build a light weight medium range setup using a Model 7 action I am not using. Not ideal I know but that's what I have. I am looking for a chassis to suit the Model 7 action, to make matters harder it must have a rise fall butt. I have searched around but have not been able to find anything yet. I am over in TN in March at K&M so was looking to bring the chassis back with me. Any ideas would be great. Thanks

There's an Oryx chassis for the Model 7. Not sure what you mean by a rise fall butt, do you mean adjustable cheek piece or an adjustable butt pad?

10-4, MDT has some Model 7 chassis options and you can get compatible butt stocks that have an adjustable butt pad.

The LSS Gen 2 and HS3 chassis in particular. MDT has a presence here on the forum, I think it's MDT_Josh, I'm sure he'll help get you squared away.

My 308 is M7 based. I have it in the MDT LSS Gen 2. I am really happy with the chassis. It’s compact and lightweight, while rigid and versatile. You can use any AR style buttstock or one of the more adjustable units by MDT and possibly others. I would highly recommend it.

This is an old thread, but I don't see a model 7 orxy chassis on their site. I have a custom model 7 that I'd like to add a chassi too but am having tourble finding an affordable option like the oryx.

I checked their website and they are not listed now. I called and the CS rep said they didn't have them. Looks like they discontinued them, though the guy was not sure when. Sucks. That would have been a perfect option. I want to try PRS and have a blueprinted model 7 with pinned badger recoil lug and a Lilja 1:8 6mm creed moor as well as a fluted Bartlett 1:7.5 in 243 Win that could get me started. Rifle now shoots in the 2's with both, but need a chassis and detachable mag option.

I see, they were one of the few games left in town it seemed.

I’ve got a blueprinted, trued model 7 with a 22 inch Bartlein in 6.5cm. It shoots really well. It is sitting in an MDT LSS, not ideal for PRS shooting though cause the forearm is slim pickens for real estate.

I’ve talked myself out of sticking it in a manners for a long long time cause I just don’t shoot it enough lately. The gen 2 mini chassis option has me thinking it over again though.

What does one need to build out the LSS Gen 2? Seems like a much more expensive option compared the Oryx.
It needs more flat area in the forearm. There is another thread talking about some of these options going on right now. Just not a ton on the model seven cause it’s not a real popular nor current used platform.
