Rem700 Chassis for Night Vision

Hey hide!

I am going to start my first custom bolt gun build and I want to make sure it is set up well to use a clip on night vision device like a PVS-30. What are your recommendations for a chassis with a forward pic rail at 12 o’clock for that clip on.

I was eyeing the W3 and the X Ray. What’s the main reason to go W3 over any others? Ease of mounting and adaptability?

They look the coolest. A folder is pretty nice too and they’re very modular

I second the KRG Bravo! They do make make a weight kit now to balance it out, but I am too cheap to buy it. I am going to try filling the rear of the stock with lead 45acp bullets to balance it out.

If you find a Manners or McMillan with an EFR, they are super classy. But will run twice the cost of a KRG Bravo setup.

I think I sold my KRG Bravo with an NVG bridge and the arca rail for like $450 on the Hide a few months ago, so you can get into them pretty cheap.
