Remington 1 1/2 Small Pistol primers

Anyone here use these in reloading .40?

Went to the store today and they had a shipment of primers in so I went nuts and bought some. One of the boxes are "Remington Small pistol 1 1/2".

Box says not to use on .40 but I have seen on another forum or 2 where they were used and seem ok.

All sales final, so I can't take them back.

My understanding is that the 1 1/2 does not take the pressure of the 40 S&W well. I would try on a substantialy backed down load and try them if you got em. On the other hand if you have 9mm ore something lower pressure that you load for also it might save you the headache.

Thanks. Better to be safe than sorry. I do know of some 9's that need loading.
