Maggie’s Remington .308, AICS 1.5 barrel lug?

Recently I completed a 700 Remington .308 build on a AICS 1.5 D/E 6263 stock. I'm having issues getting this gun to shoot sub-moa. The question I'm asking is concerning the barrel lug. I used a .250 lug with the build and noted the the barrel lug slot was bigger then the lug. Can this cause issues with the way my gun is shooting? Do I need to take up the space with something? Just looking for some pointers.

This. But since its here I will give my 2 cents. When you torque the action into the stock make sure the butt is on the ground, and the lug is resting on the rearward portion of the slot. Then torque the action screws. This works for me. Good luck.

Is the recess for the lug deep enough, or does the action rock in the chassis?

The recess for the lug is deep enough. Its wider then the lug. The action does not rock in the chassis at all, it fits very well.

If the action is sloppy in the stock, or if the recoil lug is sloppy in the recoil lug recess, the accuracy will suffer.
