I have a 1971 model Remington 700 ADL in 30.06. Has a wooden stock, jewelled bolt, and a ribbed trigger. I've had this a few years and I've only shot it once. Sometime in the past this rifle had iron sights, but the iron sights have been removed. This rifle is almost 50 years old, it has some wear marks and some dents / marks on the stock. I've done my best to take pictures of everything. This would make a great hunting rifle.

I'm looking for $350 shipped for the rifle, scope not included. Your FFL must accept shipments from an individual.

The scope is available for an additional $125. Scope is a Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40mm with a mil-dot reticle. Scope of 2nd Focal Plane. It's in Leupold rings, scope base on the rifle is unknown.

What’s the Serial #? 1969 was the first year for jeweled bolts.

Good to know! I believe it's from 1969 due to markings on the barrel. The serial number is 6450381. Please double check me. If it confirms 1969, then great! If it turns out to be another year, let me know and I'll update the ad.

Update - Contacted Remington, they tell me it was made in 1971.

That’s interesting. According to the barrel markings on the left side of the barrel, it has a May 1967 manufacture date, but the Jeweled bolt says it’s at least 1969.

I just took another look at the bolt, "0381" is etched into the bolt, and that matches the last 4 of the serial number. Maybe they started jeweling bolts in 67.

Update - I heard back from Remington, they told me it was made in 1971, and that was the only information they had on the gun.

That would explain the jewelled bolt... I went by the barrel markings before and thought it was made in the 1960s. Maybe Remington built this rifle with a New - Old Stock barrel from 1967???

I bought it several years ago at a local store. At the time, it had a cheap Chinese scope on it, and I replaced it and the rings with a Nikon I had sitting around. The 2 piece scope base seemed fine though.
