Is it possible to use a Remington 700 308W bolt, or any other aftermarket 308W bolt, with a Surgeon 591 WSM action?

At least two interference problems.
The 591 receiver has an extra anti-bind type rail running down the length of the left lug raceway. Your M700 bolt would have to have the left lug slotted to ride that small rail.
*The lower right anti-bind rail may also be different spec/size than the M700. Mod to that existing cut on your right lug may be necessary.
The bolt handle boss may not be shaped or positioned to provide correct primary extraction cam upon bolt lift.
Can probably be done with some careful mods.
Call to Stephen at Surgeon may get you some specific ideas about the necessary mods or what is involved with getting a new bolt to your part of the world.

Can you buy another bolt from surgeon? I asked at one time and they said I could buy another bolt for my 1086 action, but its been some time ago.
