I wasn't sure where this thread should go - but my nine year old son got his 1st deer this year with my Remy 700PSS. He wants a really good Airsoft replica of the Remington. I know there are a bunch of different ones out there. Can anyone reccomend a Make of the Rem 700?

Theres a lot of options, depends on what you want (gas/spring) and how accurate you want it to become. A lot of guys who build target rifles will do a Tanaka (quite a few m700 options) and tap the mag for an adjustable HPA rig and switch the hop up unit out for a VSR style (king arms makes the conversion I think) and slap in a good barrel. There is a lot to read up on if you want to go nuts.

Was big into airsoft until I started seeing the light....

You could also check out the Stoeger X10, I've done some searching and they seem to be the best performing air rifle under $200. They look and feel good, too, especially the wooden stocked one.

Big plus is that its got an auto safety that enagages every time you cock it so it'd be a good one for kids in that regard.
