Gunsmithing Remington 700 Magazine Box

I have a Gap built 308 on a remington 700 action. The weld on the back of the magazine box broke loose and it is causing feeding problems.

What is the best way to fix this? I know I am not the only one who has had this problem because I had it happen on 2 other guns. I have a spare mag box but this one has been fitted for my bottom metal and stock.

will JB weld hold it?

Have someone tig it back on. It should only take a second. Your other option is to trim down an ADL box to fit the stock and bottom metal and have the mag box held in place by the ADL mag box screw. That is if didn’t weld over the screw hole for some reason.
