I have a Remington 700 adl varmint combo looking for a stock want to turn it into a target rifle. Living in ohio not many places I can shoot, I have almost 21 acres I can shoot at. So Ive got brass dies and everything for reloading. Took off the stock bases and scope, relaced with weaver 1 piece 20 moa base, quadlock low rings and a 4.5x14 400 Mueller apt (mildot, target/nob turrets). Shooters ridge bipod 9-13". Want to swap out the stock before I take out and sight in.but on a budget (that being polite for I'm cheap). Has anyone ran the boyd tacticool. I like the looks of it but no one around glass/beds stocks. Will I have a solid platform on a laminate stock? Other two choices being a choate ultimate sniper stock (ugly to me) but everyone keeps saying there the best bang for your buck with the bed block. Archangel has one I like aa700 It converts the rifle to take mags. Has anyone held one of these enough to see if the integral bipod is sturdy? And how solid is pillar bedding in a stock?
