Hello I am looking for a solution to a problem that I am having with my hinged floor plate.
If I load 4 rounds into the rifle the first round will chamber and fire. The second seems to get "hung up." Basically the round ends up on an angle, bullet facing up and primer side down in the magwell. If I go to close the bolt, the bolt hits the middle of the brass case.
Now when I open the floor plate there is movement in the aluminum piece inside the magwell. I can move it up and down, back of the aluminum piece(split side) feels tight but theres play in the front of it.
I don't know if that has to do with the problem or if it has to do with the follower or spring.
I know I could always grab a badger or cdi dbm, but I like the hinged floor plate and don't have the funds to upgrade to dbm just yet.
