I have this 742 carbine, as I understand the bolt is made of harder stuff than receiver and the rails get eaten up. I can see this already starting to happen in this old gun that has not been shot much. Would a recoil buffer and/or brake slow the problem?
Anyone have any ideas on how I could make my own recoil buffer?
What is the least expensive brake I could slap on there?
