Looks like Remington and JP Enterprises have gone in together on a SASS type rifle.

Looks interesting. I suspect they were getting tired of people buying 700s and then paying someone else for a stock, scope, etc. to make a complete tactical or sniper gun...

Well...if my AO was a pumpkin patch and I had a little green krylon to "finish" the job that JP/Rem. started...that'd certainly be an option!!

Remington does it for the lulz and to make Rem fans cry. But i must say that color actually makes seeing some of the smaller details easy to see.

I am hoping that the pic is just REALLY bad and that it is more of a dirt/dry earth color than it is orange because I'm not sure that you'll find many places on earth where that rifle will be at home in terms of "blending in."

As for the price...it won't be cheap because Remington will package it like the M24SWS and other "complete" systems (incl. optics/mounts/bipod/can/etc.). The best bet for "mocking up" that rifle will be to buy direct from JP (they are VERY nice 308 semi-autos) and outfit it as you like with a better scope/mount, etc. for a fraction of the price of the complete "system" from Remington.
