I recently aquired an old Remington 510 with a date code of January 1948. Everything seems to be here and functioning except for the bolt assembly, even the barrel still looks clean and straight on the inside. I've looked on Brownells, Numrich, and all of the sites listed on Remingtonsociety but can only find a couple of the small parts. Are there any good sites or places that i can order the parts i need because Google isn't being as helpful as I'd hoped?

Thanks, Steve

No, unfortunately the Remington 5 teen series are pretty well unloved and valueless. Only the target models (513, 521 variants) are really worth sinking money into.

That bolt on the 51_ series is somewhat interchangeable, so chances are the bolt got scavenged for another rifle. (510/511/512/513/probably not 514/521/etc)

You can get a complete Rem 510 for $60-80 all day long, so finding a bolt listed separately isn't very likely at all.

Very few of the 5 teen series were D&T'ed, usually most common on the 513's and 521's. So unless the rifle has some kind of sentimental value, it's not really worth it financially or practically to use that rifle instead of a new $100 .22 plinker.

If you really want to resusciate that old thing, best bet for a bolt is "RimfireCentral.com". Easily the top rimfire forum on the web, plenty of Remington 22 collectors on there.
