Rifle Scopes Removal of ATACR beauty ring

Any simple tips on removing the ATACR beauty ring? I’ve shot a few of these for years without ever trying the ring. Decided to try one out. Threaded on easy so it’s not cross, but my fingers cannot muster sufficient purchase to take it off.

I just used a rubber strap wrench. I almost typed, “rubber strap on wrench.” Lol!!!

You talking about the thread protector ring for the exposed windage threads when not using the turret cap? If so, use a rubber band and wrap it twice, then lightly squeeze and rotate off.

If the beauty ring is stuck around a certain body part, then olive oil would work. #OrSoImTold

Rubber band was the winner! The key was not squeezing too hard as doing so kinda binds it up. Thanks Reaper.

No problem man. Yea squeezing too hard will bind it up. Just a simple twist with the rubber band and boom. Same trick works on the Leupold MK6 diopter ring...or jarred goods at home lol. #KitchenHacksWorkOnPewSticksToo

Yeah, mine was stuck on, I just took it shooting and it loosened right up.

Some of the clear, thin, plastic packing tape, roughly 270 degrees, with tails, around the perimeter...........then, pull the leading edge in the direction of anti-rotation ("off"). Should come right off. Also, camera filter wrenches will work. You can get the plastic ones on flea bay for cheap.

It's too bad some of these rings are so thin. Would be a lot easier if they could be knurled a bit
