Repair older Aimpoint 5000XD red dot?

Just bought a double rife, circa 1990. Has an Aimpoint 500DX red dot that does not light up. Put in a new battery, but no joy.
Where can I get it repaired? Or should I just look for a new one?

You could call Aimpoint and inquire, but I doubt that they would be able to service something that old.
I would just pick up a new Micro, T2 or whatever flavor you prefer.
They are bombproo.

Good suggestion. However I need a red dot that has a 30mm tube like the one in my picture. I can take the claw mounts on my Aimpoint and use them to mount a new Aimpoint (or like one) to my rifle.

Aimpoint thinks they may not be able to fix my 5000DX and gave me a "Loyalty discount" And sold me a 9000SC for $428.49!
