Am I missing a spotting scope that is FFP but still in the ball park cost as a Bushnell Excursion 15-45?

It seems like it was just a great spotting scope value and I can't find something that fits close to it.

I don't know anything about them from experience but you can buy one one Ebay. There are several threads around hear about them.
But I didn't learn anything useful. Decided not to risk $480 on a discontinued item.

Re: Replacement for Bushnell Excursion

I am not aware of anything like the excursion. Too bad. It's a pretty darn nice piece, particularly for the cash.

My partner has one, and while the glass isn't amazing, it ain't bad. The power ring is a bit stiff, and the plain mildot reticle could be much improved if it was more like Leupold's TMR. Still, at our last match, we milled 10 of 10 targets to within 8% of true range (from 425-1050 yards) with it - in heavy mirage conditions.

The match prior to that, we milled a target dead fucking nuts at 1030 with it.

It's compact, it's tough, its got good enough glass for field use (not for spotting 223 holes in "the black" at 400 yards), it's got a useable reticle, useable power, and its FFP.

I'd get buy a used one if I were you. Nect closest thing is a Mark IV Leupy for $1500.

It sure would be nice if Bushnell or Vortex would come out with a 45+ power, HD glass compact FFP spotter with a hash-mark style reticle for ~$1000, but it doesn't seem to be happening.
