REPR love?

Re: REPR love?

There's plenty of love for the REPR here bro

Here's a so-so pic of mine in "FAL mode," waiting for the Elcan I wanna buy for it:

That's how it looks now, only without the bipod mount and rail sections under it.

I too am awaiting my first AR and it is a 16" REPR, I get it out of "jail" the day after Cinco de Mayo. Going to add a few Magpul pieces, scope mount and the new SWFA 1-6x and I should be ok for a bit. Ill add my REPR when I get ahold of it.

Re: REPR love?

So that's it on the hide? Figured there would be more than a few. Just got word mine is on its way back from the decorator a d should be in hand within a couple of weeks! Now just waiting on the USO scope!

If your wallet is not on board try your checking account possibly a credit card!!! If that does not work maybe speak to a banker and tell him you need a REPR...

Re: REPR love?

What ammo are you guys running through your REPR? Ill be picking up my 16" version Sunday and Ill be needing some ammo to sight in my 1-6x when SWFA starts shipping them. Not sure if I need match type ammo to sight it in or if regular ol' surplus ammo will be ok. Thanks!

Re: REPR love?

Federal Gold Medal Match 168gr is just over 1/2 moa in my 16 incher. Santa Barbara 145 gr is more like 4 moa, which is about what a buddy with an OBR got with it.

SBR stands for Short Barreled Rifle. Overall length and barrel length are regulated by the ATF, and any rifle with a barrel shorter than 16" must be registered.

Why? Not a fan of 7.62 in the AR platform?

There is nothing wrong with the .308 in the AR platform. Ive fired the m110 in the military and the thing was awesome. Its a great target /hunting round and cant really go wrong with it being so cheap to shoot either.

I would just like the option of choosing between say, .308, .260, 6.5CM, ect. I have a .260 TRG and wouldn't mind getting a solid AR platform that fires that round very accurately.

This rifle would be great for my needs. And in the end i may either pick this up or have a custom built.

Re: REPR love?

I'm working on a chance to have a LWRC REPR in my hands soon. I'm most likely going to get it in the 18" variety, and run it along-side of the other projects we have at work. I've been eagerly awaiting the chance to run one hard... My benchmark for performance is Battle Axe's GAP-10. I really want to see how a piston rifle can stack up against his... Nice sticks, all.

Cheers!

BA! Who did the A-Tacs dip? I really wouldnt mind seeing that on my REPR. Also dig the fluted barrel!

Re: REPR love?

Sweet! I think the thread can make an exception and see a few pics of yours

I havent seen it in person yet. How is the film job? Is there a thick clearcoat or something over it? Was worried it would get beat up pretty quick

Yeah, I felt that way too... So I just painted mine myself. I plan on beating the crap out of this gun, so when/if I need to touch it up I can do it pretty easily.

Re: REPR love?

I will get pics of the SPR, and my REPR (FDE) once I can figure out where my 5 y/o put my camera.

I am not sure what the hydro-dip process is, but if I did not know better, I would say it was cerakote, when I compare it the my REPR. The ATAC'd PMag that came with the SPR feels just like one I have in FDE from Magpul. Both the rifle and mag have about 1000 rnds through them, and the finish still looks like the day I got it. And this is after it was dropped on a blue stone driveway (unloaded rifle), and the magazine was dropped and then kicked across a driveway. Yes, I can be a clutz at times!

Just waiting on my MK6 scope to get here and a DBAL D2 for NV use and this system should be done.

The upper and lower receivers are different profiles at the back. Where other SR25-type lowers are profiled for a charging handle, the REPR is closed in - which is one of the nicest features of the REPR for me. No gas face from a suppressor!

The downside is that, no, the REPR upper will not work with any other lower, nor will the REPR lower work with any other make of upper.

Re: REPR love?

Nice rig. How far have you, taken it out to?

I've gone out to 1,003 yards and was pretty impressed with the results.

I think lwrc should build a repr, style weapon in 6.8

Re: REPR love?

Thanks guys. Im heading down to NC tomorrow to take it out and stretch its legs. My first rifle...yeah, i know. A bit much for a first but I figured I'd rather only cry once and start right
wink.gif

Im psyched though. Should be interesting to see what it can do. Obviously with the set up I have here its bit heavy. Guessing 12 -13 pounds all together. I have to build up these muscles but its a bit much to hand hold. With a smaller aimpoint it would be manageable but that SN-3 is a beast!
anyone else doing this combo and running with it?
