I don't think the officer was ignoring rules so much as he was letting emotion get the better of him trying to rescue an infant in medical distress. Please don't attribute malice and arrogance for what was an incompetent moment.

90% of first responders would jump the gun as this guy did here for a call like this. This isn’t a disregard for the law it’s a mindset to get to the person in trouble

Keep in mind cops can disregard laws like this in the performance of their duties. The officer paid for his negligence here but other than that it was a legit reason to get moving on the officers part
