We had a full line today. 2 new shooters as well!!

For only the second time we had to do the "condom" trick with the backers, as it rained steadily all morning. At least we had no wind to contend with.

1. STP 190-14V
2. *Brett R. 172-5V

<span style="font-weight: bold">F-T/R </span>

1. Christian 188-17V
2. *Dan 177-9V
3. Jim R. 167-3V
4. Jim B. 144-4V

* New shooters- Dan from Dansville and 12 year old Brett R.
I let Brett shoot my just finished 6BR Savage and he aquited himself very well today. He was a bit low during the first relay, but his dad made the necessary elevation adjustment and he did much better for the second relay. Next time he will be very real threat in Open Class. His participation today made the whole day for me.

Thanks to Jim B. for the use of his 4-wheeler to set targets and collection of same when we finished.

Thanks to all!

Congratulations Brett! That it some impressive shooting, especially for just getting behind a rifle you've never shot before and shooting through the rain. We'll see you next time!

The most impressive part for me, was the part where you lent your rifle/ ammo to a new shooter, bonus for a kid.
Thats how we ensure the sport never looses interest.
As you said he will be a big threat, especially once he gets hooked.

Thanks for shareing

memo, Scott is that kind of guy. It wasn't the first time, and I'm sure it won't be the last. I was the benificiary of one of his rifles a while back when I had a scope go down.

Nice shooting to the rest of the guys that were there!

The hot air balloon ride was over before the rain came, but not in enough time for me to get out there. The ride was a Christmas present. After the first 2 or 3 minutes of uneasyness, it was really neat.

Takeofffs and landings allow the subconscious to sense the departure and approach of Mother Earth, and that can be most unsettling, especially when the closure rates are fast. Once changes in proximity to the ground become imperceptable, the hackles settle back down.

Scotty is one of those humble, selfless guys who provide the backbone of our sport's survival.

Folks like me can come and go without much impact, but Scotty is simply one of the indispensables.
