I want to get into precision shooting and have a LRB M25 (M14/M1A) being built at the moment. I plan to put a Nightforce 2.5-10x32 with Mil Dot reticle on it. That part is for sure. I am also going to pick up a CZ 455 with threaded barrel. I can shoot behind my house as long as I do it suppressed. I am going to scope this too but want to stay in the $500 range here. Any suggestion? Since I am learning, is it a bad idea to have two different reticles? The CZ with be shot the most since it's .22lr and just behind my house. Also any suggestion for the CZ. I think I have settled on the Tacticool Suppressor-Ready model. I have a AAC Element 2 can. Another question, I have a Harris bipod but it has a LaRue QD rail mount on it. Any recommendation for a rail section I could mount on the CZ's stock. Sorry for all the question, again I am new to this. Thanks.

If you are just shooting paper targets with the CZ, it's nice to have a little extra magnification. For a sub $500 higher powered scope, I usually mention the Vortex Viper PA 6.5-20x44 or 6.5-20x50. Can be had with mildot, vplex, or bdc reticles. The mildots are calibrated at 14x, which I find pretty useful, with the ability to crank it up to 20x for seeing holes in paper out there a ways. It will focus down fairly close too. It is a hard scope to beat for value and features/glass quality at its price point.

Thanks. I've been looking into the SWFA line. I really have not seen much bad written about them. Pretty sure I am am going to go with one of them. I kind of narrowed it down the 3-15 recommended or cheaper 3-9. I've even toyed with the fixed 10x42 since supposedly it was meant to go the M14. Thoughts?

I like the 3-15x - the magnification ratio works well for most practical applications, the size and weight are appropriate for a rimfire trainer, and the parallax/focus is very helpful when shooting at close targets. Being able to zoom in on the woodgrain of my kitchen cabinets from ~15ft away is pretty nifty ;)
