REVOLUTION Yukon Extreme Stocks

Re: Yukon Extreme Stocks

If you mean the one by Revolution stocks for 10/22s, it's a nice stock. For some reason the barrel channel is slightly small for the normal 10/22 bull barrels and requires a bit of sanding.

It's a really comfortable stock with the high comb and low butt in exactly the right place for shooting off hand (at least for me).

Re: Yukon Extreme Stocks

yeah thats exactly what I meant. I'm looking at the electric blue. Thanks for the info! The one you displayed looks awesome. What kind of barrell is on it? What other mods do you have on it?
Thanks again!

Re: Yukon Extreme Stocks

I own three and love them. Best drop in stock for off hand shooting I have ever had. They really make a Ruger 10/22 into a great silhouette match gun.

FWI, get high scope rings as the stock is set up for tme - this allows a better heads up shooting style for silhouette.

Re: Yukon Extreme Stocks

In addition to silhouette matches they are very popular in Sportsman's Team Challenge, which includes timed rapid-fire offhand 22 shooting. The one on my gun was given to me by a friend who does STC and had an extra.

I built the 10/22 on a Tactical Solutions X-Ring receiver with a KID trigger group and barrel and a Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x50 in Burris Signature Zee rings.

I would highly recommend the KID barrel and trigger to anyone who wants an accurate, easy to shoot 10/22. The trigger is as good as an Anschutz two-stage match trigger and I average 1 MOA 10-shot groups at 100 yards using Wolf Match Extra (at least when the wind isn't horrible).

These were typical groups on a day with some breeze:

Re: Yukon Extreme Stocks

The trigger is set somewhere around 2 lbs. I don't like super-light triggers and they're not necessary with a two-stage.

I should add that the 1 MOA group average at 100 yards is absolutely off of bags and a bench, not offhand. At the moment offhand groups are maaaybe 5-6 MOA on a good day.

I agree that the stocks look bizarre, but they really are super comfortable for offhand shooting. I recently set up a Sako Quad that is just as accurate and has as nice a scope but is still in the factory, very traditional sporter-shape stock and shot it in a silhouette match this past weekend (two, 40-silhouette matches). Last month with the 10/22 I shot a 20 and a 21 and this month with the Quad I shot a 15 and a 16. I absolutely am changing the Quad stock to something with a similar comb/butt geometry.
