I thought some of you might get a kick out of this...
I have not even competed in a match yet. Just thought about it A LOT, and watched some footage of matches but I still had this bizzar-o dream last night:
At my first match at a range I'd never been to before. Standing "in line" for my turn to shoot. PANICKING that I do not know the range and the distances on the targets. So I'm on my phone on google maps trying to measure the distances but the phone is acting up and I'm afraid someone is watching me and going to say I'm cheating. So I figure out the range and start writing up a dope card real quick. My STEP-GRANDMOTHER comes out of nowhere and is double checking my work. She says "the shooter in front of you dialed up 17MOA, and you have only 2.1 on your card." I tell her she's crazy and the guy was probably dialing BACK DOWN from a previous shot because these targets were only at 200yds. She says I'm right, then I move up in the line.
It's my turn and I had left my box of ammo at the back of the "line". So I ran and grabbed it and am frantically loading rounds into my mag so I can shoot. The whole place is waiting on me. I load three good rounds into the mag and the rest of the box was crap. All the rounds were completely corroded like they had sat in a puddle for years. So the RO is helping me dig through all my ammo in my bag and she finds a set of drill bits. She starts pulling the drill bits out one by one and putting them in the "good ammo" pile. I tell her "are you stupid, these are drill bits, not ammo!" She's all confused, the whole place is waiting for me, then I wake up.
So odd. Thanks for listening
