Rifle build question?

I am in the process of building my first rifle, I have been shooting for a long time, I am active duty Air Force Security Police for 26 years. This is what I have orderd so far, from good ifo from this forum. I have a new FN SPS action 308, just ordered a Rock creek #5 barrel 1.25 - .875 at26" barrel 1-12.7 twist, plan on shooting 150-155 grn bullets, A Manners MCS T5 stock and a Jewel trigger. Who do you recomend having to put it together and parkerise it. And what do you think it will run me. Also thinkink of going with a short 18-20" barrel. ay help will be welcomed.

There are a lot of great builders and guys here on this forum, I suggest you look around and see what builders do what, and what you like.

Sounds like you have a great idea of what you want. I have done all of my business with GA Precision and have been really happy with the results. You may have a decent wait on your hands with GAP. As far as cost, email the builders directly and ask them. With everything in hand, you won't get hit as hard on the cost and the wait will be shorter.

As far as the shorter barrel, lots of folks around here have done the same thing with great results. On the GA Precision site look at the Gladius. It is made after Lowlight's gun (the owner of Snipershide).
