Rifle cases

Armageddon Gear is the best, but I have had great luck with Allen TAC SIX. Well made and last. The Armageddon Gear has more padding though. Costs almost three times the TAC SIX. Stay AWAY from Bulldog. Made in China, and barely gets off the boat before it starts falling apart.

Savior. If you get the ones in multicam they are mo’ money but they are thicker material and have better zippers (YKK..or is it YYK? I alway forget haha).

I have two and they hold up very well. Like this

Look at Amazon or similar for this to be in stock.

Someone mentioned TacOps which has to be the most expensive drag back in ever.

I had the Armageddon Precision case but it was really tight zipping up my rifle + scope. Probably be fine for a smaller rig.
Switched to a Tac Ops drag bag. Awesome case!

I have MidwayUSA soft cases for O/U shotgun and a couple tactical rifle bags and they are nice for the $$.
I think I am going to get their sniper drag bag as I too am in need of a case for my bolt gun.

These are pretty nice. Scheels 60" outfiiter case. 02650907817.jpg

Sorry, the height was the issue, not the length. AXSR w/ZCO on top, was a very tight height fit closing it around the top of the scope.
I’ve had that problem with the same case with some combos of rifles and high-ass scopes. Not very often, however.

They’re awesomely made cases!

Here’s my links and reviews on some cases I’ve owned (except for the Triad Tactical).

Can any of these handle the rifle being put in with a hot suppressor attached to it without melting or catching the case on fire?
Serious question.
I like letting mine air cool. Doesn’t collect moisture and what not as much

I don’t think you’ll find one that can handle that kind of heat. If you have or know a connection for some outdated fire gear the nomex used could be made into a sleeve of some sort if you need

I tried to find a case maker that would use nomex but could not find one.
When I shoot it is at a range. I have covers for my 3 cans but not for my integral.
While its only a 22 I can still get it pretty hot and don't like to having to wait around for it to cool off after shooting before I can safely put it in the case. I may have to source some nomex and make a sleeve for it.

I believe just pouring water on it is safe. I’d double check, however.

They sell ironing board material / mats. I’d try lining you case with that and see how it works

My TacOps works quite well height-wise for my AXMC with TT scope mounted on a Badger C1 1.54" mount. It even works with the RAPTAR mounted on the diving board.
It gets a little tight with a RAPTAR-at-home, but Nik is right. You can fit a bolt gun, even a taller chassis gun, with a tall scope and LRF in a TacOps. I did so just last week.

I have been using this one for about 15 years but may be more than your looking for.
Padded divider for two rifles, pouches on both sides for pistols but I use them for storing bolts, pouch for cleaning rod, lots of external storage and adjustable removable shoulder straps.

I have two of these. I agree they hold up well, I beat the snot out of them dragging them, throwing them in the back of the truck and generally abusing them to no end and have had no issues with them protecting my equipment.
