I just spent this past weekend @ the Rifles Only Training faciiity in Kingsville, TX. I went with a good friend for a private class. AMAZING!!!
Jacob went over the in depth safety briefing and we were then plunged into the information of fundamentals of firing a rifle. I know what you’re thinking “I already know that”. Well don’t assume too much. I learned so much more than I already knew.
He evaluated our shooting and made changes along the way. The application of those principles at his amazing steel ranch was great. My mind wouldn’t shut down in the evening and both of us were psyched to get back there the next day. We took notes through out the course and with tons to practice. Oh yeah sling education just never knew it could be so important.
The second day was tower shooting at movers, and engaging steel targets with hold unders and over. Try slow then speed it up. Challenging comes to mind. I saw improvements every step of the way. Trying to use all the information we gained then applying that information. Next was the mouse trap building. Shooting support side, strong side, crawling, climbing, and balancing. Every position change required removing the magazine and making the rifle safe before moving. Yes the clock was ticking.
All in all I had more fun and smoked through tons of 6 Creedmoor ammo. Definitely going back for more training time Jacob, his wife was awesome too. Got to visit his distillery “Texas Rum” got to love it. Great dogs Corona and Paris.
Best money spent on training ever. This is a badass facility. Just find the time and go you will not regret the investment.
Thanks for reading.
