Anyone chronny their rimfire rifle or pistol ammo?

Maybe we can start a listing for those without chronny's.

reports should probably contain the following:
caliber(.22Short, .22Long, .22Long rifle, .22WMR .17HMR, .17Mach2)
ammo manufacturer
ammo brand/model/type
rifle/pistol make, model
barrrel length
air temp
high MV
low MV
average

anything else?

Re: rimfire chrony results

So will my shooting chrony Gamma Master, it will also print those numbers so I dont have to waste my time writing them down.

Re: rimfire chrony results

got some agulia 22lr super maximum rated @ 1750fps
from the 16.3" bull ruger 1022 it averaged 1850 @ 15' and 1150 @ 100yards.
shot a 5-6" rock @220ish 8 out of 10

out of a 6" walther sp22 it ran 1450 @ 15'.
it is some smokin 22lr.

Thanks by golly, but that link does not include all the useful info. A Smith 41 has what length barrel?

That report lacks many data points that are needed like....

Hi

Re: rimfire chrony results

Here is some data for you.

22LR
Ammo: American Eagle 40 gr solid (Federal Rimfire AE5022)
Rifle: Savage Mark II BTVS (left hand)
Barrel Length: 21"
Conditions: 66F 29.91" 55% humidity 1200' ASL June 12th, 09 11-1300

I shot a bunch of groups here is the data from a shooting chrony Gama Master.

This group of ammo I had sorted the night before for weight in grains. I don't know if it matters but its included. First time doing that for me. Most 51.5 and 51.6 grains with under 15 each on the 51.4 and 3 range and 51.7,.8,.9 range.
Groups were around the 1" size at 50 yards. often in string shots 1 and 2 a little outside with 3,4,5 touching and very tight. Maybe barrel warming up? Shooter?
A statistics guy might be better able to tell but the 5 shot strings might be a little too few for accurate SD's. I have read that 7 or greater improves SD accuracy.

Shot: # shots in string
High: highest single shot in string in feet per second
Low Lowest shot in string fps
Ave: average of shots in string in fps
ES-extreme spread (high-low)
SD -Standard deviation

Shots:10 High 1249.74 Low:1185.02 Average:1209.87 ES:64.72 SD:18.94 Grains:51.4

Shots:10 High 1246.00 Low 1209.65 Ave 1229.48 ES 36.35 SD 11.57 51.6 grains. Best group at under an inch at 50 yards

Shot some Eley Club too. I found it really hard to group good and wasn't worth the double cost to the AE stuff

Shots:10 High 1050.77 Low 992.78 Ave 1032.52 ES:57.99 SD:15.81
Shots:10 High 1067.36 Low 1012.29 Ave 1044.44 ES 55.07 SD:17.08
Shots:5 High 1050.77 low 1028.98 Ave 1040.29 ES 21.79 SD 8.42
Shots;5 High 1045.42 Low 997.36 Ave 1023.82 ES 48.06 SD: 18.38

I hope that useful. Happy shooting.
