I have a ZCO 840 with a MPCT3X reticle. I have really enjoyed this optic. My eye's aren't what they used to be. It's harder for me to pick up the dot. What are some other choices similar magnification and clarity with a larger dot. Again, I can't say enough about ZCO except make a larger reticle option for us older guys.

My primary 22LR wears a ZCO 840 MPCT 1X. And yeah my 66 yr old eyes can sometimes have tough time picking the center dot up. I have found that the red illumination can help. I used to be a nightforce comp shooter and used the fine crosshairs, now I can only see them for about 10 minutes before my eyes refuse to see them.

The only 5-30 scope I know of in mil with a large center dot is the Vector Continental. I bought it because I prefer a larger dot and in that regard it's a great reticle for me. However you'll likely be discouraged by the quality compared to high end scopes. The Continental isn't a turd but it's far from great and I much prefer the quality of Athlon scopes if compared.

There are some Athlon scopes which have a .05 mil thick center dot and the Horus H59 does too.

If you wanted a really thick center dot there is the Athlon 2-12x42 DMR in mil but it's not a target scope, instead more of a hunting scope or AR DMR type of scope. It's one of my favorites nevertheless and one can do many tasks with it.
