Anyone ever use their rimfire for hogs?

This big South Carolina hog fell to a 22 mag

Yeah a lot. 17hmr or 22 magnum. You have to be responsible and shoot them one inch in front of their ear. Anything else is just stupid. If you hit them there and they die

eh, ide rather use a caliber that will reliably put down an animal fast and clean......not a huge fan of shooting animals with sub-optimal calibers.....or at extreme range (when it can be avoided).......because the risk of wounding the animal increases.........yes there are guys out there that can kill a buffalo with a pellet gun at 900yds........but the problem is EVERYONE thinks they are THAT guy.

personally ide rather use a little too much gun and ruin a little bit of meat if it means giving a clean kill

SC law only allowed rimfire at certain times of year. Thankfully that law has changed.
