Little help please. I have a couple Bushnell HDMR's on the way and need to purchase some rings. I am currently looking at Badger Ordnance. Does anyone know what rings are best to use with this scope? As per the website, the rings come in 1.0, 1.375, 1.125 and 1.49. I have always tried to keep the objective as close to my rifle barrel as possible. Thoughts or input? Thanks for any help in advance.

I'll add a vote ^ ^ ^ - 1.0"

I have 1.0" on all my 50mm optics, including an HDMR. 1.0" clears all my bolt-gun barrels. One is a "truck axle".

Re: Ring height for Bushnell HDMR

If you wanted lower then look at the Seekins Precision 34mm .92" height. Should work fine with the 50mm objective on the HDMR. I use the 1" height on my 56mm S&Bs with M40/M24 contour barrels and have room so the 50mm should be fine with the .92.

Also the Seekins will save you a little money which isn't a bad thing

Ive got the 1.49 Badger on my hdmr, sits a little high but its not terrible. wish I had lower ones but I got an awesome deal on these so I cant really complain haha

I have Seekin's Lows (.92") on mine...work great. Butler Creek's fit and a bit of room to spare. This is with a Medium Palma barrel.
