Building a KIDD 10/22 supergrade in the off season. Using a titan stock with the KIDD 20MOA base.

Rings: BURRIS XTR signature rings

Scope: VORTEX viper PST gen 2 WITH sunshade

This, I imagine, is NOT a very unique build and am hoping someone can tell me what height rings I should order.

Thank you!

On my Kidd 10/22 builds with the 20 MOA base and a bull barrel, I've using Burris XTR Signature 30mm rings with a 1-inch height (Burris part number 420221). That leaves roughly .17 inches from the barrel to the tip of the sun shade on my Athlon Midas TAC scope.

You can see pictures of one build in the thread at:

One thing I might mention is that I'm using the Burris inserts to add more MOA so that I can bottom out my scope. With holdover, I can shoot out to 500 yards but have to dial my power down a little to get the reticle viewable.

Are you using the MAX inserts? The only reason I chose those rings was for the adjustability of them (exactly the same reason you just mentioned)

Hoping that I’ll be able to get almost 100% of my adjustability in one direction. In the series I run we regularly shoot to 500+ yards and it hoping to avoid much hold over.

I don't remember the exact numbers used with the inserts. I'm not using the full amount of MOA adjustment available in the rings... maybe around 15 MOA. I mounted the scope with what I thought was close, tested, and then changed out the inserts to provide only a little adjustment down (about .6 MILS or 2 MOA) below zero in case I need to make a minor change when re-zeroing the rifle. One of my other rifles using the Burrris XTR Signature has a touch over 5 MOA of adjustment as taking out the five wouldn't have left me enough adjustment leeway.
