Prayers for all, Semper Fi to my brothers........

    Oct.23, 1983

I crewed one of the C-141B's that brought the bodies back from that. Then spent 29 days assisting the Marine doc's in identifying those bodies (I wasn't the only one, sorry). Marines are definitely hardcore, they left the torso of the truck driver on a folding table for damn near two weeks before they identified it. Had to walk by the damn thing everyday. Kept all the Marines in refer trailers, until we could bring them out to the docs. We used two huge Field Tents for the exam areas. Was one of the suckiest times I had in my Mil. career. I was stationed at Rhein-Main A.B. during that time. Mac☹️
