So I whipped this up in no time. I'm amazed how easy this really is. I have ZERO artistic talent, and NO vision for how colors/art is going to look-nor how to achieve it.

This was done by giving a flat black basecoat, 1/2-2/3 coverage of randomly ripped bits if 3" wide masking tape then painting OD Green, then 1/2-2/3 coverage of ripped tape and a coat of Khaki. Dry, peel off tape. When I do it next time, I think I'll achieve better consistency from one end to the other - the black and green is a lityle sparse down by the butt. Overall though, this came out a lot better than I thought I could get it to look.

If I can do it - anyone can!

It was nerve racking as hell the first time I painted one of my rifles. Sometimes you just have to go for it. Turned out very nice for you. I think I might try a tiger striped variation of that.

Neat idea. Rifle looks good, but I'm on the fence with the shapes of the tape patches. I think this method would work a lot better with the tiger stripe pattern. I would like to see that. Good job!

I've seen one that the guy painted brown then wrapped para cord all over it and painted tan over that. It looked pretty neat.
