So I recently got to play with my dual tubes with my buddies SR16 from work with a high rise mount for an aimpoint on it and to be honest I think minus playing with my rmr’d Glock that’s the first time I’ve ran a Reddot with NODs and I liked it. Question is I plan on grabbing a 1-8 atacr for my sr25 and was thinking about running an offset RMR but now I’m thinking it be best on top of the rings like a Spuhr type mount with a ring for it so I can have the height. Anyone ran this with NODs or an offset, or ran an rmr on rings with that mount more in specific that could give some feedback? P.s. I have an iR laser but if I can pick up a dot I’d much rather do that

I actually love the mount Burris makes for this. It's a tube mount so you can set it wherever you want. A 45 degree offset is better by far than a top mount. The high placement of the top mount makes you give up anything resembling a cheek weld, which can make driving the weapon quickly more difficult. And you can get this mount for any diameter scope tube, transfers to any scope, and allows you to buy whatever mount you want.

I ran a top mounted red dot in 3 Gun for a season, and immediately fell in love with this rig. Much better. These pics are my 6.5 Creedmoor that I built for PRS Gas Gun Series matches.
