I am about half-way through this book by the late Malcolm McPherson.

Absolutely engaging and seems to be very carefully researched. It's a moment-by-moment account of the battle on the summit at Takur Ghar during Operation Anaconda. The book reminds me a lot of "Blackhawk Down" and if you enjoyed reading that, you will like this.

McPherson's widow works with my better half and gave me a copy of the book. He died of a heart attack in 2009. It's absolutely worth the read.

Cheers,

Pierce

I agree. Got Roberts Ridge on audio book and print both. Outstanding book. McPherson did an great job. Highly recommended this book.

Re: Roberts Ridge -- Malcolm McPherson

I got about half way through "Not a Good Day to Die" and stopped reading. Wasn't to fond of the authors negativity towards the SEALs. He wrote for the army apparently, and obviously favored the army guys more. Good info I guess, but I wasn't there to validate it.

Lone Survivor, although about a totally different operation, is an awesome read if you haven't already read it. I read it twice already.

Also, "The Warrior Elite", and "The Finishing School" are also really good.

Halfway through "Kill Bin Laden" at the moment and it's awesome so far was well. It's about Delta Force and the months leading up to and including Tora Bora.
